Baked eggs, pie crusts, and more

by Jourdan Fairchild in ,

Yesterday, Andrew and I drove south until we reached Kentucky to celebrate my family's last Thanksgiving in the Bluegrass state. And today, before some toddlers arrive, we're bustling about the house prepping for tomorrow's big feast. As with every year before, I'm quickly reminded of my mother's culinary expertise—and my lack thereof. For instance, rather than hard boil eggs for gravy, we baked—yes baked—them! Preheat your oven to 325 degrees, rest the eggs directly on the racks, and in 30 minutes, they'll be golden.  We also made a homemade pie crust for a sour cream apple crumb pie (step-by-steps to come).

And in our side yard, Andrew is crafting up a storm for a project that involves NAMING this blog! How are you preparing for the big day? I'd love to hear!
